Traveling the world sounds, and is an extraordinary adventure if you manage to take on the massive round-trip journey. However sometimes you need a little bit of inspiration to get yourself motivated enough to move forward with your travel plans. Here we have an intriguing article listing some great photographs from around the world by some fantastic photographers. Now a lot of the time when you see articles to do with photography, you will see the same old photographs and the same brilliant photographers; but we wanted something original and a little different from the usual articles you may find.

SO here you will find some newcomers and veteran photographers who have taken amazing photographs, but have yet to be praised for it like they should have been, so here we are paving the way for them in the hope that their photography will not only inspire you to enjoy more from these photographers, but also make you feel highly motivated to go out and travel the world.

#1 Chinese On A Train by Wang Fuchun

This was taken by Wang Fuchun in 1985 on a train in China and depicts a fairly common sight on a train back then. This amazing moment in life was captured by Wang Fuchun, who lives in Beijing, having originated from Harbin. He has exhibited his work throughout the world and won many competitions. His passion for travel photography mainly centers around life on trains and steam engines. This fantastic photograph captures the beauty and uniqueness of a typical journey on a train in China. It is one of a series of photographs of life on railways. What is so beautiful about this picture is the reality, that for some is strange and for others perfectly normal. This picture is itself, part of a large collection the photographer has created on the same railway line.

#2 Blue Streaks By Marc Adamus

Marc Adamus is a fairly unknown photographer but it is safe to say that in the future he will be known to many. His photograph Blue Streaks is simply stunning and almost makes you want to head off to a mountainside in search of such a sight. This photograph was taken using the Long exposure method, which is done by setting up the tripod of your camera and allowing the shutter speed to be set at an extremely long time; this usually creates surreal effects within the photographs. The blue streaks over the icy lake reflecting Oregon’s Mount Jefferson really is a stunning photograph and really is a great travel photograph.

#3 Kilauea Lava Reaches The Ocean by Richard Seaman

This was taken by Richard Seaman and shows the lava flow from Kilaueau Volcano entering the sea at Big Island, off of Hawaii. Richard Seaman is a famous travel photographer who now lives in the United States. He was originally from New Zealand when he suddenly felt the need to travel. He moved to the USA in 1997. He has been nick named the Flying Kiwi, such is his love of travelling all around the world. The scene he has captured here is truly inspiring. It shows the true power and strength of Mother Nature at her most powerful and illustrates just how beautiful Mother Nature can be. The depth of color and the atmosphere the photograph depicts, really demonstrates the talent of this fantastic photographer. You can almost feel the heat coming from the photograph as it unfolds before you.

#4 Bali Big Wave at Sunset by Tommy Schultz

This was taken by Tommy Schultz during an amazing sunset on Padang Padang Beach. Tommy Schultz is a travel photographer who also specializes in Underwater Photography. He is based in Bali in Indonesia and also Winchester, Virginia. He has been recognized for his work across the globe. This picture, taken on Padang Padang Beach in Bali, really is a unique image. Tommy Schultz has beautifully captured the sunset over Padang Padang Beach as the sun shines over a rolling wave. It is amazing how the colors of Sunset interact with the darker colors within the ocean itself. These colors are amazing, and not what you expect to see. Such fantastic use of a camera like this has allowed us to see into the world below the wave like we are never really able to do straight through the naked human eye.

#5 Gray Wolf by Jim Brandenburg

This simple yet beautiful photograph of a wolf was taken by Jim Brandenburg. Jim Brandenburg is an American photographer, known most notably for his work for the National Geographic Magazine. He was born in Minnesota in 1945 but he actually spent the vast majority of his career circumventing the globe. He has been awarded many awards over the years. In this photograph, Jim Brandenburg illustrates the beautiful simplicity he has sourced and captured in this image. The wolf is startled yet curious of the photographer. It is obvious the photographer has balanced the light levels cleverly in this shot as the darkness of the forest around the wolf remains dark while the wolf is lit in a fantastic way without mesmerizing the animals eyes. The way in which the picture was taken is also truly unique.

#6 Drinking From The Holy River By Mitchell Kanashkevich

This picture was taken by Mitchell Kanashkevich and shows an old man bathing in a river in India. Mitchell Kanashkevich is based in Sydney, Australia. He is a travel photographer but also does a lot of documentary work. His work focuses largely upon Eastern Europe but ranges to the nomadic life in India. His work is very popular and is held in many private collections all over the world. This image is one of his personal favorite pieces. It is of an elderly gentleman who lives a nomadic life style deep within India. In this picture he can be seen bathing in his local river. Mitchell Kanashkevich has captured the man drinking, whilst bathing, from the water. The photographer has beautifully captured the vivid colors in the old man’s beard and hair along with the ripples in the water.

This picture was taken by David Sanger and shows a unique image of a hiker climbing up Mount Tamalpais in Californian state park of Marin County. David Sanger lives in San Francisco, California. He is a world renowned photographer an has been travelling around the world taking photographs of his journeys for well over 19 years. The picture David Sanger has taken here is just incredible, it almost like a scene out of a movie. The clouds rolling across the horizon as the hiker is seen trapsing up the mountain is just surreal, it is as though he can almost touch the clouds himself. It’s pretty difficult to get mountain photography which is not just of snow covered peaks so this one is a real trat, and a real inspiration for any would-be adventurer too!

This photograph was taken by Bob Krist on Easter Island which is a Polynesian island in the South Eastern Pacific Ocean. Bob Krist is a freelance Travel Photographer. His work has taken him to all seven continents of the world. He has won a multitude of awards and honors for his outstanding photography. He was worked for all the major publications, from the National Geographic to the Smithsonian. He has written many books on his experiences. This photograph is one of his better known works. The figures shown in the photograph are Moai, monolithic figures representing humans which were carved from rock on the Easter Island. The tallest of these figures is up to 10 meters in height.
